Pencil's focus is primarily on South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, although we welcome enquiries from anywhere in the world.

 

At present, Pencil's products, including SECONDVOICE, are only available to potential pilot customers. Pilot programmes see SECONDVOICE deployed in rural communities around the world by organisations and groups that have a close working relationship with all members of the community. We strongly welcome all interest from any groups wanting to work with us to trial SECONDVOICE in their communities. We are particularly keen to work with groups focusing on health (particularly malaria, HIV and TB) and primary education. SECONDVOICE will shortly be available on a "Buy-To-Give" policy, whereby individuals can purchase devices in limited quantities for Pencil to give to organisations that are able to distribute them effectively. Pencil's products will be available for direct purchase by individuals in rural communities once we have established a distribution network. Pencil recruits distribution agents from rural communities on their environs, and looks for individuals with the highest ethics, strong connections into the local communities in which they sell, and an entreprenuerial ability.
